I Haven't Changed Anything. So Why Am I Gaining Weight?

If your eating has not changed but the weight has, this episode is for you.

The weight is a symptom, and a late one. What changed years earlier was invisible — your body quietly got worse at handling sugar, and insulin climbed to compensate.

I walk through the four things that went after that system, the fifth that came from outside, and why neither your scale nor your last blood panel could catch any of it early.

And if you get an afternoon crash, 2am waking, or fog after meals — those are not separate complaints. They are all the same thing.

The test that shows insulin resistance years early is not on your standard panel. Ask for it by name.

If you have ever been told your bloodwork is normal while feeling exhausted, foggy and heavier than you used to be — this episode is for you.

Normal on a lab report means your number sits inside the range of the people who got tested. It does not mean optimal. I walk through three numbers that tell a more honest story, including one you can calculate tonight from labs you already have. No new blood draw needed.

Vickie

I put on my other lingo senser today and it failed part way through the set up! I called the company and they said they would send me a new one, but of course, it will take a few days to get here. So I will be missing most of this week of collecting data. Hopefully, that won't cause a problem.
